Arrive in the historic city of Ahmedabad, where centuries-old architecture coexists with vibrant modern life.
Visit the magnificent Adalaj Stepwell, one of India’s most beautiful subterranean architectural masterpieces. Continue to the peaceful Sabarmati Ashram, where Mahatma Gandhi launched many of India’s freedom movements.
As evening falls, enjoy a leisurely walk along the beautifully developed Sabarmati Riverfront.
Overnight: Ahmedabad

Spend the day discovering the cultural treasures of Ahmedabad.
Explore its historic quarters, bustling markets and remarkable architecture before visiting the spectacular Swaminarayan Akshardham. With its intricate carvings, spiritual exhibits and serene gardens, Akshardham offers a fascinating introduction to contemporary Hindu culture and craftsmanship.
Enjoy a relaxed evening sampling local Gujarati cuisine.
Overnight: Ahmedabad

Travel north to the magnificent Sun Temple, Modhera, a masterpiece of Solanki-era architecture and one of India’s finest temple complexes.
Continue to Patan, a town renowned for its extraordinary textile heritage. Visit a traditional Patola weaving workshop, where artisans continue a painstaking weaving technique passed down through generations. Witness the creation of some of the world’s most intricate double-ikat silk textiles, a craft found in very few places on Earth.
Later, enjoy time exploring local museums and heritage quarters.

Begin the morning at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Rani ki Vav, an underground architectural wonder often regarded as India’s most beautiful stepwell.
Continue deep into the dramatic landscapes of Kutch to reach Dholavira, one of the most important archaeological discoveries in South Asia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
For many international visitors, Dholavira becomes the unexpected highlight of Gujarat.
More than 4,500 years ago, while ancient Egypt was building pyramids and Mesopotamia was flourishing, Dholavira stood as a sophisticated urban centre of the mysterious Indus Valley Civilization. Discover remarkably advanced water management systems, planned streets, reservoirs and engineering achievements that reveal one of humanity’s earliest urban societies.
A guided tour brings this forgotten city vividly to life, offering a rare glimpse into a civilization that predates much of recorded history.
Visit the nearby Fossil Park and conclude the day with a spectacular sunset over the vast desert landscape, followed by traditional folk music performances beneath a canopy of stars.

Rise before dawn for one of India’s most surreal experiences—the legendary Road to Heaven, a ribbon of road crossing the endless salt flats of the Great Rann of Kutch.
During winter, the receding monsoon waters leave behind an immense white desert stretching to the horizon. The landscape appears almost lunar, creating unforgettable photographic opportunities.
After breakfast, continue via Gandhi Nu Gam before arriving at Dhordo.
Check into the famous Tent City, a uniquely Gujarati winter phenomenon that transforms the edge of the White Rann into a vibrant cultural village. Comfortable luxury tents, folk performances, traditional cuisine and artisan workshops create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in India.
Spend the afternoon interacting with local craftspeople, trying your hand at pottery, learning about traditional Kutchi handicrafts and browsing colourful artisan markets renowned for embroidery, weaving and mirror work.
In the evening, visit Kala Dungar or return to the White Rann for one of India’s most spectacular sunsets.

Travel to the beautiful Arabian Sea coastline and enjoy time at Mandvi Beach.
Continue to Bhuj and visit the award-winning Smritivan Earthquake Memorial and Museum.
Explore the royal heritage of the region through visits to Aina Mahal and Prag Mahal before visiting the inspiring Vande Mataram Memorial.
Browse local markets famous for textiles and handicrafts.
Do not miss: Sampling the famous Khavda sweets and local delicacies.
Overnight: Bhuj

Drive along Gujarat’s scenic western coastline towards Dwarka.
En route, enjoy comfort breaks and glimpses of coastal Gujarat before arriving in one of India’s oldest pilgrimage towns.

Visit the magnificent Dwarkadhish Temple and wander through the atmospheric lanes of this sacred city.
According to Hindu tradition, Lord Krishna established his kingdom here more than 5,000 years ago.
Continue to Bet Dwarka, believed to have been Krishna’s residence.
Later, relax at Shivrajpur Beach, Gujarat’s celebrated Blue Flag beach, where travellers can enjoy watersports, camel rides and stunning coastal sunsets.

Travel to Porbandar, birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi.
Visit his ancestral home before exploring the legendary Jambuvan Cave.
Continue to Somnath and witness the evening ceremonies at the magnificent Somnath Temple overlooking the Arabian Sea.

Travel to the island town of Diu.
